I like the Holiday look.

I was just in Best Buy grabbing my bi-annual upgrade to Quicken and this years Turbo-Tax, and I strolled through the games section purely by habit. I gave up on WoW (great game, too many fuggin kids though) and I never bothered with EQ 2, Guild Wars or NWN. I did see the advance copies of Vanguard though, and it looked interesting.

Ching, if anyone could possibly know the word on the street about this game (from Beta players) it would be you. Is this going to be worth buying?

I hope everyone had a great Holiday season.

Heya Loh, not much traffic thru here anymore. It's kinda like snail mail now. Send a message, wait a few weeks for someone to see it, then maybe get a reply. Very good to hear from you again.

I like the fact that Ching has kept this up so long, very kind of him.

For those that knew, my brother (the original Colmir, and Gardann) has been in Iraq the last year or so, and has just returned from his tour. Chances are good he's back online on whatever server Saryrn morfed into.

Happy Holidays to everyone, all the best!

Pridus and Fekk are playing on-line again? Wow (no pun intended) that is crazy news. Please give them my regards.

I've given up on MMORPG's, I've gotten even less tolerant of kids and dumb-ass adults, and it just got too painfull for me to deal with. Gardann still has his account active, and as soon as he returns from Iraq, I'm sure he will be back online. In theory I could load EQ up and play those accounts, but everytime I consider it, the thought passes very quickly.

I've turned to playing Poker online, I actually make a very small amount of money a year, for the time invested. When I say small, I mean you couldn't feed a pet rock on what I make, however it is a positive cash flow, which is a huge improvement over EQ or WoW, at least for me ( I never sold a toon). Funny thing is, I'm playing at one of the poker sites with like 8000 people online, and I'm sitting at a table (screen name is Zaxboan of course) and someone asks, Hey, you ever play EQ? Turns out it was Fizelle. Scary thing is, she's really good.

It's always great to hear from and about the old guildmates. I hope everything is going well for you all.

I checked the RT website, and well, it got sorta weird in a hurry. Is that a Renaissance Faire (note the gay extra "e") thing? or is it a sappy book convention? In either case it looked like something I would duck, dodge or feign death for. Is your Hubby coming to this? He can't possibly coming for anything more than the party, at least I hope not. Now, if I knew it was gonna be a "hangin about the bar and drinkin thing" I might be able to convince my better 2/3's to let me go for a day or so.

I just re-read the posts and saw you are doing this for work. When did you get a job, and what exactly are you doing?

Axe, I'm kinda disappointed you missed the Curtis Mayfield reference. Well , hmmm, maybe you didn't. Hard to tell. Remember, Fred is dead....

I'd call you, but you never answer your friggin phone. Sony still calling about unpaid bills?

What's the RT convention? We'll have to get closer to the date before I could commit. It would be great to see the old Keepers for the first time. I've quit WoW, loved the game, too many friggin kids though. I find myself missing EQ time to time, then I remember the late nights lost to fruitless camps, or botched raids, and I get over it.

Hope everybody is doing well, even Ol' Curtis Mayfield.

Checking in, still alive, just went back to WoW after a 3 month absence.

Dunmoor, Dwarven Hunter on Crushridge.

59th lvl and never joined a guild, weird, eh?

Crushridge 25 Doorf hunter.... very popular race/class... It's my old ranger with a pet, how could I go wrong?

I gave up hope on getting a system that could run EQ2 and enjoy it. So I tried WoW and so far, I love it. I've only had a taste of the PvP, and it looks pretty good.

Glad to hear the folks on EQ2 are having fun, I hope the competition brings out something other than gas from SoE.

Merry Christmas to all!

Hey Folks, nice to see some old friends still hanging out here.

I stopped playing EQ about 2 months ago. I am certainly tempted to take a look at EQ2, but I'll need to upgrade my video card (and maybe my MB as well).

I was completely cured of online launches after the debacle of the Star Wars launch. I like the fact that EQ 2 comes packaged with the first month pre-paid. I will probably take a run at it in a few weeks, after the bugs and crashes have subsided somewhat. If I find I like EQ2, my intial thoughts are to play MUCH less frequently than I did with EQ.

All the info you guys post here is greatly appreciated, especially the server's you are gravitating towards.

Hopefully, I'll catch many of you online in the near future.

Even with the SWG theme, I still couldn't get thru a third of that before I was manically closing the movie down.

That is very disturbing.

Heya to Big O and Aeld.

Sorry to hear RL slowed you down some Orian, good to hear things have improved.

I might be the only person not playing CoH, although I've heard some good things about it. I barely have time to play EQ anymore, can't imagine learning a new game.

It's all worth it.  Kids are the best pets you could ever have.

Of course I was watching the final holes of the '99 British Open when my 2nd was born. One eye on Van de Velde melting down, one eye on Mama, and saying breathe every 30 secs. It was an amazing morning. I needed a nap to recover.

Childbirth is tough on us Dads.

In all seriousness, you expectant Dads out there, make sure you get as much sleep as you can now. Because when the water breaks, your on 30 min naps for the next 72 hours. You won't believe how much stuff you have to handle, while she "recovers" from labor.

This being the original Ari, not the bot or the Fambino version? Great to see you swing by bud.

I'm guessing, but I'd say, there might be 5 folks still in the guild from the time you were with us.

Airelyn still swings by time to time, I know she'll be excited to hear from you.

Glad SB is working out for you, EQ is a lot different, yet very much the same as it always was.

I had to look twice when I saw Korba.

We've seen the update from Aeld, and are looking forward to seeing her online. How are you doing Korb? You done with the biscuit school yet? If you're out and working, I want to know where.
