In my early days playing EQ, I died way too often and spent far too much time doing those nasty corpse runs.  My favorite was running through the Blackburrow tunnel without a torch at night (as an Erudite), and for those those who do not know or have never played an Erudite character, THEY ARE BLIND!

Well, here is something I found on the Internet.  I heard the WAV file version a long time ago, but this is the entire anime.

Has Anyone here seen my corpse?

I hope you all get a laugh or two out of this.

Enjoy!

Even though the following proof and conclusion is flawed, it still is funny.  And since I majored in theoretical math as an undergraduate, I am allowed to poke fun at math.

Proof of the meaninglessness of all Math

X = Y

X*X = Y*X

X*X - Y*Y = Y*X - Y*Y

(X + Y)*(X - Y) = Y (X - Y)

X + Y = Y

X = 0

Hence, all numbers = 0.

Since, 0 + 0 = 0 and 0 * 0 = 0, the answer to all math problems is 0.

Have a great day everyone!

Mine is...

Roderick, you're an Observer!

That means you're one of the more kind-hearted people around. You are unusually intuitive, and you probably understand yourself, as well as others. That also means you're a good mediator — though you may prefer to spend more quiet time on your own than most.

Because of the self-knowledge you already possess, you are better equipped than many to steer your life in the right direction. Understanding more about the components of your personality will reveal unique information that even people like you might not realize. And the better you know yourself, the more confident you'll be making decisions that affect your life.

Me and a coworker came up with a number such proofs back in the 80's at Bell Labs.  We thought they were random acts just to see them show up again later.  This was one of them.  I love it.  LOL.

Laiynla,

All in all, a nice list of items that I have found many to be true when dealing with women I have known.  And although, there is much frustration in dealing with the logic that I find myself confronted with, I would not trade them for anything.

A few tid bits I would like to add to your already excellent list of items:

1) In regards to movies, shows and activities of interest when you ask her to pick the movie, show, or other place to chill and relax, realize:
a) Sometimes I have found that they will pick a place or movie that I love just to see if I will go there or come back with an alternative more in line with their interest.  Example, I have a friend that when I ask her what movie she would like to see, she comes up with a list of movies that she thinks I want to see that she will tolerate.  We, men, need to try and do the same for them.
b) Sometimes simply asking for their input is a 100 point demerit, as sometimes, they don't want to think about something you are putting together.  Be willing to brainstorm and make some plans.  I have found that if you can come up with a couple of options all of which they like is a big winner.

2) If they say something like "whatever you get me for my birthday (christmas, valentines), I don't want any (flowers, candy, stuffed animals, etc.)" really means "I want this AND something else".

3) Never agree with a woman when they are bashing women and women logic.  Trust me, that is not what they want. Deduction -10,000.

4) When you find yourself a passenger in a car being driven by a women who is driving wildly with many people honking their horn at her and she comments, "why is every one driving so crazy?", I have found silence is the only wise response.  If someone has more insight on this one, I would like to hear it.

Later all.

Fizz, have you read the writeup on me in one of my earlier posts.  My writeup made me sound like a collection of much about nothing.. :)

And for all of you visual mathematicians out there who hate math.. that is ok.. visual mathematicians can identify patterns and associative properties in the "real world".. they tend to make good artists, photographers, people who are good at the "circle the following objects in this picture" game, and generally fun people.

Any way, when I shared the original link, I did not want people to share their numerical scores, but rather, their "intellectual type".. to me it was a sort of a get to know people thing.. too much competition out there in the world..

Anyway, be safe.. the wind is howling outside at over 30 mphs.. so the storm approaches.. fight well!

Ooh! Ooh!  Hey, Mr. Cotter!  I know!  I know!

And the answer is: (A)

Reasons:

Mindy > 90%
Axe > Mindy
Therefore, by transitive implication,
Axe > 90%

No comments on that math reference.

If Pythagoras was a geek, would he have been a "square" or a "triangle"?

Sorry all... it is that evil, geek, punny side of me sneaking out...

Okay... I may be a geek, and maybe I don't always look before I leap, but I think the result is more or less the same.  Thanks for pointing me to the RIGHT test. ;)

Good Heavens! For Outstanding Bedroom Performance, you have been nominated Eros, the God of Love. Master of romance, you're every woman's dream lover. To find out all the details of your new godliness, sign up with Emode.

Wel, what can I say?  I am a die hard romantic who believes it takes more than sex to be intimate with a woman.

Leiyah,

Interesting link.  Although the test appears to be addressed to women, I think many of the questions were applicable to all.

----------
Heavens above -- you are an absolute goddess in bed! Your natural sensuality, and a strong moral resolve drive men crazy with desire. Diana, the goddess of chastity and virginity, is your inner deity, and she guides your every move. To learn more about your divine bedroom talents, sign up with Emode.

I would interpret this as...

Like a meticulous collector, you've fed your brain a unique set of facts and figures over the years. Words, numbers, you've got it all. That's what makes you a Facts Curator.

Whether or not you intend to absorb every piece of information that comes your way, your mind has certain steel-trap qualities to it. You are a knowledge sponge. You have almost enough words in your head to fill a dictionary, and you're equally adept when it comes to manipulating numbers. You can also detect important patterns in number sequences, and probably remember the mnemonic devices you were taught in grade school.

Even though this probably does express a large part of how my mind operates, it misses the creative, out-of-box, imagination that fills my mind and heart when I solve problems at work, write prose, write music and play the piano.  The Moody Blues wrote in a song "Thinking is the best way to travel", and I have gone many places in my life.  A vivid imagination is like the next best thing to being there, although I like being there too.

Hope all are having a most excellent day!  Endure work, enjoy your friends and family, make the most of your quiet moments, and pursue your dreams!

A friend sent me this link to a scientific IQ test... not sure if it was an act of fun, friendship, or something to drive me crazy...  Anyway, for those of you out there who are interested  or enjoy such things, here it is...

IQ Test

Your scores are personal... but I think the test helped me to understand some of my own strengths and weaknesses.

Lost?  Racing the clock?  Wishing you had brought a little extra DPS along?  Then you must be playing an adventure in LDoN. :)

I think Laiynla says it best...

PIE > ALL

But myself, it am torn by many passions...

Apple Crisp Ala Mode (or Apple Pie Ala Mode)
Chocolate
Cheese... Hmm.. Cheese
Classical music played loud in a dark room with eyes closed
A good book

And so many more... we are each distinct and different, yet there is much that binds us together... why argue over personal opinion...

"Creativity is meant to flow like water over the edge of a cliff in mist and spray and streams of living water... both living and elegant and full of beauty..."

Sports? What are they? TV? What is it?

/em is confused and ponders the meaning of such things...

Well, I am not much of a TV or sports fan, so I think I will pass on football and work on my shaman today. :)

Have fun!
