It would probably be something like Walton & Gallo or Sam's Finest.  Nevermind that the old man would probably turn in his grave at the thought of Walmart branding any sort of alcohol.

Cue college football playoff argument, take number 30....

I've always been a big supporter of the bowl system and believe its part of what has made college football unique and fun.  But this mess with USC has made it clear that we need some sort of playoff to take some power out of the hands of self absorbed sports media and coaches' stooges who actually vote for the coaches (usually a grad assistant who sends in the vote).

Make an 8 team playoff with the 6 major conference winners (yes OU didn't deserve to be there due to not winning their conference) and 2 at large picked from the conference winners of all the nobody conferences.  These would most likely be Conf USA, MAC, Mnt West or WAC.  This year it would have likely been Boise ST and Miami Ohio.  There should be no teams playing for it all that can't even win their own conference.  And yes this will force most conferences to have a champ game.  ND will have to be drug into either the Big 11 or Big East or be left out altogether.  If there are to be general at large teams, there needs to be a simple football type of RPI (ala bball)  based on record, opponents record, opponents opponents record, and conference strength.  NO MORE FRIGGIN POLLS PLEASE!!!!!

What I don't want to see happen is for the regular season games to turn into the NFL where you can afford losses and still win the super bowl.  But it will be inevitable.  If the bowls are kept around, use the major bowls as first round games.

Hell, if they are determined to keep the BCS just make a provision where if more than 2 teams deserve it after bowl games that a one game playoff will occur the week after the last bowl.  Granted the powers that be in college football (ie money holders) will do what they can to ensure there are at least 3 with a claim going into bowls, but at least people could quit drooling over an overrated team (USC) who beat an even more overrated team (Michigan) who with 2 losses (one to a weak PAC 10 team) really didn't even deserve to be in the Rose Bowl much less the top 5.

If it makes you feel any better, I had no interest in Lohagens game either.  I threw in one response for the hell of it.  And considering I wasn't even playing eq through most of the fall of 2002 I'll never get this.

I think Luclin models look better, but the armor graphics are way too generic and their layering could use some work.  I've been running with all models turned on since I put a new pc together over the summer.

I got a kick out of this one myself...

Classes that aren't in the holy three (warrior, cleric, enchanter) should be glad the vision for eq was lost long ago.  Unfortunately this change was much more for the almighty dollar than any degree of fairness or attempted balance.

Hark! Who is that, sprinting through the fields! It is Artorious, hands clutching gilded boxing gloves! He grunts homicidally:

"I'm going to torment you with such reckless abandon, you will polymorph into a horned demon!!!"

An interesting variant that was entered by accident.

Who is that, stalking on the tundra! It is Artorius, hands clutching a jeweled meat hammer! He cries thunderously:

"I'm going to defoul you so utterly, Jesus himself will forsake you!!"

An alt Kratos

Striding out of the desert, carrying buzzsaw hand extensions, cometh Kratos! And he gives a vengeful roar:

"For the love of carnage and discord, I lay waste to all I see like a sentient bulldozer!"

An alt Volcanus

Stalking on the freeway, clutching a sharpened screwdriver, cometh Volcanus! And he gives a bloodthirsty bellow:

"Hail the blood-letting! I shall fill the world with the stench of death!!"

you're a Comfort Colada

Being with you is like taking a vacation. When it comes right down to it, you're good-hearted, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet. Chances are you're the first call people make when they need someone to cheer them up or when they want someone to celebrate with. You're supportive, encouraging, and know how to have a good time.

you're a Secret Agent!

Your personality is actually determined by two personality sub-types - your primary, or dominant sub-type, and your secondary sub-type. You are a Secret Agent which means you are a Thinker / Seeker. Your primary sub-type is defined by "Thinker" characteristics and your secondary sub-type is defined by "Seeker" characteristics.

That means you're basically a smart, shrewd loner. Chances are although you prefer solitude, you're a deeply caring person full of energy and ideas. On a personal level, you're sensitive. You may worry too much about how you compare to others, and your mood suffers under such intense personal scrutiny.

How do we know all this? How do we know that you like to work in a cubicle and eat lunch at your desk? How could we have divined that you possess a critical eye that assures your final product is always top rate?

Because while you were taking the test, you answered four different types of questions — questions that measured confidence, apprehension, willingness to take risks, and your focus on experience versus appearance — the primary traits that determine your personality. Based on your responses, we determined your personality type, Secret Agent.

Visual Mathematician.  How original that turned out...

I question the validity of this test, but I guess its good marketing to make everyone feel like a genius on some lvl.

That other test result...

Good Heavens! For Outstanding Bedroom Performance, you have been nominated Zeus, the God of Thunder. Charming and popular, you're every woman's dream lover.

Never liked pie's very much.  The pecan pie and sweet potatoe pie are probably the only ones I've eaten very much.  Now a 4 layer delight (dunno if it has a different name) is awesome.  I've never made it personally (I'm too lazy to cook), my grandmother makes it occasionally.  Thick crust layer on the bottom thats mostly crushed pecans and something else (I forget).  One layer above the crust is pretty much pure confection sugar (a box or two, i forget) with some other stuff mixed in like philly cream cheese, butter, eggs... its a long list.  The next layer is chocolate pudding (or whatever flavor pudding you prefer) and a top layer of whipped cream.  Thats about the only truely rich sweet that I eat.

Ok, I was walking away, but one post must be responded to...

wtf are you smoking souls?

So far this year Virginia was embarassed by South Carolina.  A team expected to fight Kentucky for second worst team in the SEC east.

Maryland was beaten by ... what was that team again?  Northern Illinois something?  (I hestitate to mention this actually, Bama plays NIU in a couple of weeks at a bad time in our schedule.  Upset in the making.)

NC State was pwned by Wake Forest who has been a doormat for decades.  OSU should easily deal with NC State.  But I have my doubts as to how strong OSU really is this year.

And don't claim the GT upset over AU this weekend because most of us have been watching the soon to be trainwreck at AU with amusement.  They suck in the worst way.  They may get it together before the end of the year.  But I doubt it.  Their best chance in the last 50 years to one-up Bama and they're going to fumble it away while eating each other alive.

That leaves... FSU.  A real surprise there ;).

/em bites his fingers off to refrain from wholesale flaming the forum

Yeah, I'll grant you that the experience of doing something online with people from all over the world is somewhat better than being by yourself watching a game on TV.  I actually have season tickets and going to a game with 85,000 other people is a completely different scenario than watching it on TV.

There is a whiff of blind hypocrisy there that I'm just going to let go.  I admit I am very passionate about football.  They don't call it a religion down here for nothing.  And I take it personally when someone acts like they are taking the high road by belittling a something I enjoy (on TV or in person) and calling it irrelevant.

That being said, I'm walking away from this thread before my blood pressure pops a vein.
