eq2 has no pvp atm so if you want pvp go to WoW :)

I'm peaved the pally's and sk's get a cheep horse at lvl 20 as their 'fun' spell..mine just makes people bow  :(

eq2 has a quest journal that orginises your quests into seperate catagories so you know where you got the quest ect.  Tradeskills can make items better than those you can buy or quest and is so intensive it's possible to just do tradeskills and level that way.  There's a lotto system available for loot where you can choose to enter the lotto and have item automatically put in the winners inventory.  You have an overflow spot in your inventory so if your armor gets so damaged it falls off it doesn't land on the ground.  you get both xp debt and armor damage when you die.  it's possible to solo but groups are easy to get.  You have 20 levels do finalise your decision on exactly which class you want to play.  All the idiot teens went to WoW which means your playing with the big boys :)  You can see at a glance how many mobs your going to be pulling, whether they are KoS and once a mob greys out even the KoS ones won't attack without you smacking them first.  Once you engage a mob the encounter is locked so there is no chance of anyone trying to ks except the guards if your silly enough to pull that close to them.  You can't invite folks to your group once engaged either and movement enhancing spells don't work while you have agro so there's no kiting a named waiting for more people to show up.

I still like eq though :)

would you believe that after harassing my local eb for 2 years to get eq game cards they got wow ones...when I said well where's the eq ones they told me more people play wow....I'm impressed seeing it's been out a week.

there can only be a certain number of nodes in any zone if everyone is doing the land based nodes soon you'll end up with lots of fishie nodes....if you fish you free up those nodes to pop elsewhere as something you might want

ok I figured out how to set up a cross game channel so that no mater what server on which game we can all talk together.  Some of you know I was working on getting the eq2 folks into the eq channel we already have set up with no luck however eq folks can join eq2 channels without any problem whatsoever.  propose new channel [join eq2.najena.keepers:pie

I've tested it and it works meanwhile I still don't have a play char on eq2 yet cause I've gotta mug someone with a credit card

snefru's nest  You have to register for this site...which I personally find a little annoying however I did just so I could have a looksee and share info.  It's actually quite a nice little site, very easy to use and has mouse pointer pop ups that tell you which npcs are for which quests

I have noticed that now the inital rush of new folks have moved on alot of the IoR nodes are up....generally they are fishie tho so go fish to free up node space :)

EQ2Forums I don't know if your all keeping an eye on these forums but you should there is a huge amount of information crossing them everyday on everything from quests and tradeskills to technical info to just general chatting.

maps and quests This site has great maps with quest npc's marked and a list of all the quests below the maps in a rather eqatlas style

Allakazam's Allakazam does eq2.  Large list of items and quest walk throughs forming already.  And we just know it's going to get bigger.

EQ2Traders Corner For those of you that did tradeskills in EQ or would like to give it a whirl in eq2 you'll be glad to know that traders corner is set up for eq2.  Like most other sites they are still gathering information but they started during beta so there's a little more than you might expect.


Clan Whitestorm This is a guild website but they have alot of info on quests some nice maps already.
