Hi guys doing my semi-annual check in.  Not playing any games at the moment, just not interested atm, happens every so often.  Good to see there are a few folks who check in here every so often

Heya guys, long time no see.  I've been offline since March, I bought a house and after 3 attempts by the cable company I'm finally online again.  I'll probably pop on to EQ2 from time to time, used to play on the highkeep server but I think they folded that one into another server.

I almost got sent to Oz on business a few months back but the trip got called off, maybe some other time.

Can't be sure what I'll be doing in April next year, but SW generally has pretty cheap flights from Baltimore to Texas, if I'm free I'll definately hop on a plane and hoist a few with Fizzy and whoever else shows up.

I know it's possible because i've gotten and sent tells from both EQ1 and SWG.  Unfortunately the ones I've sent have all been replies via hitting the "r" key.

How did Ogres make the cut but not barbarians?

I imagine it's allready tomorrow down under, but I noticed when I was browsing by that it was the Queen Gimp's birthday.  Hope it was a good one :)

There's lots to do in EQ2 if you can only log in for a short time.  Sure you probably won't make level 50 anytime soon, but that's really not bad as long as you have fun.  A lot of times i'll pop on for an hour when i'm taking a break for lunch and tradeskill, forage, expore, or solo something for a quest and feel like I really acomplished something and had fun.  

This will be absolutely no help though because I've heard that the exact same thing is true of WOW :)

If you are high enough level to grey out the mobs, the caves can be quite good, or the inside the castle areas of the forest ruins.

Lourdos and I found what happened to all those Keepers we've lost touch with.  Sadly they now reside in the dungeon Stormhold as skeletons - Well at least they can play chess

Abazak the rat is still on the newb island, but will be in Freeport soon.  I actually plan to eventually betray Freeport just for shared bank conveinance, but plan on being a thoroughly evil rat until then

Chest:
Do your class quest.  A few other quests out there, but they really aren't any  better and you need to do your class quest anyhow.

Wrists:

Type: 3 step slayer quest
Task:
Kill 10 Sonic Shriekers (need group, avg level of 12 should be able to swing it)
Near the Tower of Vhalen
Kill ? (Can't remember if  it's young bears or Timberwolves, soloable at about 13)
Kill 10 Thicket Lizards - (soloable around level 14)
Near Oracle tower
Other Zones: Antonica
Levels: See above, last 2 parts doable by less if done in a group
Comments: Can be a pain to get a shrieker group

Levels: 9 or so in a group, solo at 13+
Comments - Only problem with this quest is the quest giver is often bugged so you can't see him.
Related Quests - Requiring killing the same mobs - Embers for Xoort? - From Sage Xoort in the Baubleshire (weapon), ? from ? in Starcrest (?).  Requiring travel in the same zone - A visit to the tower of the Three from Algan Tinmizer in the Baubleshire (shoulders)

Task: Visit the tower of the Three
Other Zones : The Forrest Ruins
Levels: If you don't mind training or are a scout level 10 should do it.  Otherwise level 12 with agroup should be able to work there way back to the back of the castle in the forrest ruins and get the update.  Training is probably easier truthfully.
Comments: Algan Tinmizer can be tricky to find.  He's on the hill that forms the roof of the tavern in the Baubleshire

OK lets try for ten.  Saif if you and Myrran could group with me before hand and stay in SQ when you go AFK that would be great, we'll just do it whenever we have 6 folks, make everyone an officer/leader and just tag any other keepers whenever we see them.  Also I don't have quite 60 silver right now, so bring what you can spare and I'll make up the rest.
