i would like to lodge a formal complaint..
the pants i am about to show you are the monk trousers we get a chioce to wear if our guild has not raided shissra and vex thal and or the upper plains yet..
one set the silent fist set IS NOOB quest pants i would like you to notice the AC in each instance...
as the noob set has the same AC as the plane of FEAR dropped shiverbackhide..
and the Skyshrine set only add one more to that unbelivable AC..can someone please enlighten me as to how we have 6AC pants dropping in the planes when you can get noob quest pantz at lvl 8-10 with the same AC and more useful stats i might add...

aow leggings were probably a mistake that never should have been allowed into the game. 60ac, 100hp legs are better than what a warrior could get from Velious.
They probably tacked on that zero to the 6 by mistake. That's ok tho cause it's probably just a typo anyway and they are really only AC 6 ROFL
i'd say it was a mistake in itemization rather than a true typo. if they really wanted them 6ac, they'd have changed the drop and the 60 ac pants would be worth a billion plat on the market since they didn't drop again.
are there any pants we CAN get with better stats esp AC...?

looks like 6ac few folks seems kinda stupid you eiter put up with NOOB equivilent AC or get into a guild that goes to upper plains..(and i aint leaving your stuck with me like some sort of monkie shaped stickie thing) there is no happy(or unhappy in this case) medium .. bah

You might want to think about the Ancient Wyvern Hide Leggings, Uno. I know they have a weight of 2.0, but the stats on them are pretty nice.. many monks in some of the guilds I've been in like them. They drop off a mob in NToV but he's not too deep in.. something to shoot for anyway.

Drops off First Mate Bresanev. This mob seems to spawn immediately (and randomly) on the corpse of Waterlogged Trolls in the Troll cave on your way to the Troll docks in Crypt of Nadox.
I bet you can buy these cheap also, i think there is a lvl limit of 45 on them now, but i cant confirm.
The monk nerf on mitigation was implemented b/c monk ac, at the top of the game, had become much higher than (some) of the developers ever intended/expected. Velious quest legs are 6 ac because that is rougly the amount that (some) of the developers expected monks to have. When the highest monks started getting legs with silly amounts of ac (e.g.: 60ac 100hp), it became an issue at the top where the best monks were actually tanking better than the best warriors.
Its unfortunate that the actions of a few cause the struggle for many. This happens all the time to SK's too, if people complain about something on PvP servers we'll often feel the brunt of it...
