We saw something similar today at the same camp. Several times our rogue pet's assassinated the fabled mob and it didn't die, well not immediately. The combination of being a low level mob, with outrageously high hps.

I might be wrong, but I think the fatal bowshot and the assassinate proc do the same 32k damage, enough to kill any mobs below 46, that they would normally occur against.

foraged items from GoD zones sell for ungodly amounts

yep foraging can be very profitable
