It isn't until tomorrow, but I forgot...it is tomorrow down under.

And yes, I suspect that I will be consuming a few martinis and/or cigars in honor of the event.  Art's birthday is about a week after mine.  We typically gather with some friends for dinner and excessive drinking as a combined celebration.  Sunday morning is going to hurt like hell...I don't have the alcohol tolerance from the days of old.

Well, I finally turned on the new spell effects to see what kind of damage had been done to bards.  It turns out some of them are rather cool.  I took some screenshots and posted some of the better ones on the website.  

If you have some spell effects that you think are cool, post them here or send them to me at zorvic@kofguild.com.  I might setup an area on the website just for showing them off.

For the last week, I have been crashing while zoning quite a bit.  I found  a post online that seems to have helped address this problem.  If you are having similar issues, then feel free to give this a try.

I do NOT guarantee this to solve your problems.

In your userdata directory (subdirectory of your EQ installation), move all of your CJ*.* files to a temp directory.

Login to EQ.

If you are using the default keymapping, press ALT+J to open your journal and disable it.

I am still testing it, but so far the zone crashing has ceased.

Just an idea to try for those of you that are frustrated.

Login to Magleo.
Choose the Update Character option.

Under the Profile Layout section, there is a background url textbox.  Enter the url (web link) to the picture.

Please note that this requires you to have the file stored somewhere on the web.  Magelo doesn't store it for you.  It only links to an existing picture.

If you need a place to put it, send it to me and I will store it on the website and give you a link for it.  If I ever get off my lazy ass and finish the members portion of the site, each member will have a small amount of space allocated to be used for things such as this anyway.
