LOL  Radx  i  think  youre  pulling  everyones leg........everyone has nightmares,  whether they are waking or sleeping.  Anything that makes yoru heart race and your palms slick with oily perspiration,  that  catches your breath in your throat and for one terrifying instant you believe wholeheartedly that you will never draw breath again,  that makes your stomach roil and your legs useless when all you can think about is running away.......waking or sleeping,  these are nightmares.

And im not going to finish what i was going to say,  as i just decided that its too mean  and im the nice one :p

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

Nightmares?

Daymares?

Hmm.  Is it possible that the really bad day you are having gith now is nothing more than a nightmare?  And when you awake, you will get to live the real life version of it.

This thread reminds me of a line in a Duran Duran song that went like this, "If your lonely in your nightmare let me in."

Kill well.

Because your lonely in your nightmare let me in
And it's barren in your garden let me in
Because there's heat beneath your winter let me in
Because you're so lonely in your nightmare let me in
And it's cold out on the stone range let me in
Because there's heat beneath your winter let me in

I think Laiynla must be talking about high end tradeskill combines and both the hope and fear of failure, as well as the fear of not seeing a "you have improved" message of some kind.  Last night I was working on alchemy, my current skill is 185, working on next combine item which goes trivial at 191..

300 attempts.. 0 improves..  :(

pain.. pain.. feel the pain..

Actually,  the inspiration  was  a train that ryverwind  once brought me of about 10 mobs,  and i couldnt use an AE me because it was inside a tunnel........
Of course,  i mezzed them all,  but by the time i got them  i was in tears.........LOL

The upper tradeskilling combines are more of a feeling that youre suspended in midair over an ocean of cold water,   and  when you hit combine  time slows and you start falling,  knowing  that there is only a slim chance that you wont  hit the frigid waters of failure........

Hmm.. althought I don't keep chat programs up as much as I used to, I have used several.  Powwow was actually my favorite, but the evil empire bought them out and killed their product.  ICQ is my main chat application, with one of the original ICQ numbers.. 113362.. yep.. you read it right.. one of the low 100's, 6-digit, numbers.. i was an original beta tester.. AIM is my second favorite, as I do not have to use AOL to use that product..

"Have fun storming the castle!  Do you think it will work? It will take a miracle."

btw, Radx, we all have bad dreams.. if you don't remember any of them it is because you are repressing them.. but trust me.. if you are human.. you have em.. but then again, maybe that observation poses it's own interesting question.....

:)

yes.. I am evil..

I had a few last night.. seemed to have something to do with the horrid tank that was in our PoV group last night.. who when fully buffed.. his AC and HPs almost matched my shaman of the same level.. :(

Kept having a recurring dream of slow resisting, and when I recast, it stuck as the tank died, and then I was next..

Not fun..

Oh wait.. that really DID happen three times yesterday.. and when I developed a strategy that allowed us all to live.. he would not listen.. as he thought he should be able to take the hits..

Argh.. the pain.. the pain.. :)

Sorry Fizz but in case you haven't heard i sleep with Mindy at her house since i um how u say about knocked the lights outta my mom well i felt like it. She said very mean things about Mindy which is one of only like 3 things that will set me off the roof. so i sleep at her house with her sooo she can't be seeing them 1. they live in Aussieland well some of em and Mindy is Pure to the soul she is cleaner than any other person i kno. She wouldn't do that we love each other too much. and 3. i think i skipped 2 but whatever 3 i don't sleep much during school so i know where she is at all times.:D .So if she got outta bed i know it. I asked one thing from my mom and that's respect Mindy she could do whatever she wanted to me won't phase me but you don't make fun of Mindy or call her names or anything. You guys are just playing around trying to have fun that's fine. If you don't under stand this then ooh well. LOL. You'd have to be me  to understand it if you don't.

/em typing as ears smoke from Uno's edited but oh-so firey rant....

Vivace- Radx and Mindy are young....seniors in High School I believe?

So they are young- and they are in love- and they take a lot of flack from other members of the guild...you know...cynics and others of us who have had our hearts broken and our souls trampled on by the jerk-offs and/or Hagathas that we once held so dear....

Now I'm not saying Radx doesn't deserve some of the ribbing he gets from people- but at the same time, his loyalty and persistance in proclaiming his love is well....silly...but sometimes admirable.

And I'm just a softy these days ;) so dont mind me.

Title: ok the radx breakdown
Post by: GSOBear on September 08, 2003, 12:58:53 PM
This is what I have figured out so for:

Radx & Mindy:     Both around 17-18 (aka seniors in H.S.)
Radx doesn't like being controlled.
Radx wants a job in the military.
Mindy (new bit of info) going into the military.
Both will be mechanics.

Assuming you will be stationed in the same base(don't count on it)
Assumes that away from you she won't be seduced by power, money, rank.
Assumes pay will be good.

Remember most military have to beg on the weekends for donations from others in the PX. The military doesn't pay well.

They are young, innocent, and stupid.

Yes this is many years speaking, and I might be a bit cynical but that is what is left. I have seen a lot of people ruin their lives by relationships that they rush into.

that is my 2 cp worth...so keep throwing pp's at me.

well im not gonna  take to much time  catching up to all the post just  put in  my  539 years of blood suckin  experiances   and various  comebacks . .

A.)  radx I absolutly guarntee I can scare you
B.) love is worth dying for  . .. its also worth waiting for.
C.) being cold lonely and bitter for years on end sucks
D.) youth benifit from luck where they lack in wisdom and rightly so otherwise non of us would be here to give  advice would we?

on a related diatribe . . . .  If  we gave out free beer to each guy who got a vasectomy wed be taking care of 2 problems at once. . ..   chlorinating our gene pool . . and  indicating the darwin award winners at the same time . . . dont laugh i know people who would do it.

Military also tries and makes exceptions for those who have spouses also in the military to be stationed at the same base.  But I've got friends where exceptions were not 'able' to be made.  Be absolutely prepared for this because it is a very real and possible thing...that is....exceptions not being made.

There is a huge difference between flattery and constant overkissing of the ass.  I have seen it first hand ruin relationships (including marriages) when one never outwardly says 'I love you' or 'you're beautiful' or 'I appreciate you' ....things like that.  But you're right in the fact that not having a backbone or not being willing to argue a point with your 'other half' won't get you very far I dont' think.

Finding a 'true love' young would be awesome!  Geez, wonder how many years I'm gonna waste with the wrong ones?  lol

Lego, you use being in the kitchen as an excuse? You chicken!  Now, Go in the kitchen and MAKE ME A PIE!  and afterwards GO KNIT ME A SWEATER!

And actually Nyte -- will you scare me please?  It'll give me an excuse to run to Loh for protection and comfort and.....

Yeah I did.  I spend a lot of time in the kitchen.  Pie however, is not something I can make with regularity.  It seems my baked goods are quite subpar.  Anyway I won't be able to get on to duel you anyway.  It seems my computer has some sort of problem that I can't seem to fix.  It freezes up in the middle of any sort of lengthy process, EQ, disk clean-up, anything.  So don't look for me to be on-line any time soon.  I have tried everything I know how to do to fix it.  And short of deleting the partitions and reformating the hard drive I'm at an utter loss.

Adding to the random advice,  AND  speaking from un cynical experience  (I cant be cynical when im married to such a great guy ;) )  People change the most in the early to mid 20's.  Thats when they get  the freedom and oppportunity to decide for themselves  what thay want to be and do in their lives.   Any resemblance to their 16/17 year old selves is usually dim and fading.  The chance that you two  will stay compatible is there,  but it is very slim.  I was with a guy that I had known and been very good friends with for 10 years,  and  when he turned 24 his life took a COMPLETELY  different path  then what had been happening for the decade that i had known him.   (no im not bitter,  i got better anyhow :D ).  Without further ado,  he left and went his own way.   Devotion is a wonderful thing,  but blind obeisance is a completely different thing,  and one that  wont help hold you up if anythng happened.   Bottom line:  patience makes the heart grow fonder,  and sometimes  to know what you have is right you have to make sure that other things arent.   Just reading the same book over and over  wont expand your mind,   but  reading a selection  then  choosing the one that you enjoy the most is intelligence.

And to speak the truth i actually don't talk much i do what i am told unless it's my mom cause she can get off the couch like my lil brother. I use eq as a excuse to talk alot. If it is needed i could get Mindy to tell ya i don't talk that much i think out of first week of school we talked alot but not that much if u put it up to as much as others talk. One of the only things i ever repeat is that i Love her. Ooh and side note i don't carwe how scary u are or u think u are but u ain't gonna give me fear 1 reason y is i have someone i hold dearly and the best thing in the world to do is to fight your fears.

Think of these people as your peers, radx.  They arent trying to ridicule you or put you down. what they are trying to do is prepare you for the real world. once you graduate highschool life is no longer the same.  you change as you grow more mature and realise resposibilies that you will have to endure to be a sucessful person. most of the people in this guild arent teenagers or people have thrown away their lives. i would want to bet that the majority of this guild, or people with access to this part of the forums, are successful people with families. they have been through lifes downs and ups, and they have whats most important, experience in life.

its human nature to try and protect people that are close to you and i think that a lot of people want to protect you by saying, 'dont expect the best outcome.'  although they dont know your personal situation they are trying to help from what they know from their own past. so take their advice and apply it to what you know.  get all the information before you start making decisions that will have a lifelong effect.  from what i understand you really love Mindy, dont screw it up by making a bad decision.

again i dont know you're personal situation, but make sure you make plans before you jump in. Love isnt like a highschool project where you can throw it together the night before. One more thing, Make sure mindy and yourself dont try the long distance thing. it sucks ass, big time.

Um....just for the record, it is not a 100% chance you will be stationed together because you are married.  I can tell you that much.  I've family where couples were split at different bases for greater than tdy.  I've also seen wife moved to Lackland and husband sent remote for 18 months to Japan.  /nod.  Because you are legally married does not "guarantee" same location / assignment.  They'll tell you they will do what they can but....I just caution you to have a back up plan of action.  USAF relocates you I think I was told if greater than 6 mths tdy but remote doesn't always count =/  Besides, who the h*** would go to Lackland it's so fuggin hot down there...black flag days ><

One other small piece of advice from someone who has been there -- getting married at age 20.....not such a good idea....yea, I suppose there are a few cases where it works out but for the most part....

its your life mate and  to hell with all of us trying to live it for ya
thats the ultimate truth   You live your life the way you please everyones gotta make their own mistakes at times. .

were just trying  to  give our mistakes  so that you can see    and   use caution         caution isnt all bad      we have around 80 years average on this world      you got plenty of time   to get married   or  make mistakes     but its easier if you spread them out.

My last cp worth:

18 bites to get married at.......wait till 21,   and your chances of having a successfull marriage raise from  13% to 53%.....and if you wait till your mid 20's (ie 25)  chances of a successful marriage go even higher.

Getting married at 18 is nothing to be proud of.  Getting married  at 30 isnt anything to be proud of.   Getting married at 50 isnt either.

Getting married after KNOWING  what youre getting into (and  hun no,  living outside  your moms house is harder,  no matter what.  I moved out at 17 and have been on my own since then,  its a WHOLE DIFFERENT THING,  yes nobodys yelling at you to get dressed or youll be late,  but  stress comes in many different packages)  and  being prepared, not shutting out peoples advice who,  much as they might kid and joke,  DO  care, and remembering  that, even at 30,  in many ways youre still a kid....

getting all that and making life work well,  THATS something to be proud of.

Getting married at 18 because it makes a good story  isnt a good enough reason.  If you really truly love Mindy (which i know you do,  you are very devoted to her)  you will honor her  with the best possible marriage situation  that you can possibly afford to give (and no im not speaking monetarily).  Do everything you can to make certain this will work,  for her.

And  i dont want you to reply to this with anything.   Just take it and keep it in your noggin,  DO NOT  reply to it,  it is not a question or a debate,  it is pure and simple advice.   Take  it or not,  but dont degrade it by  spouting inanities.   Just think about it.  Thats it.

And   Fondue is worth trying.....Marriage  is worth making SURE of.....

Its much better then fondue, and if thats your attitude,  then you arent ready for it,  i dont care if youve been betrothed from the cradle.   Marriage isnt about twists and turns,  its about having someone by your side for them........

ok  shadding up now,  but again,  dont  make up rebukes for this, this is my honest personal experience,   meant  in the spirit of assistance.   Not debate.

:)

Do or do not there is no try

My favorite quote is from my Biology teacher in grade 12. He was telling us how he decided to get into biology. Apparentlly he only took biology because he had a crush on a girl who was a biology major. He summed up his story by saying:

"The biggest regret a 40 year old man has in his life is that the direction his life took was based on the decisions of an 18 year old boy"

Not good at getting a point are you?

Biology 12 is a class you dork. Where I am from you take general science till grade 10 then you take advanced specialized classes in 11 and 12 (if you are on an academic program). Therefore I took Biology 11 and Biology 12 as well as Chemistry 11 and 12 and Geography 11 and 12. Biology was a part of the General Science class in grade 10 however it was very different from Biology 12. You need to take reading comprehension a few more times. This may be hard for you to understand but there is more to learn about biology then was covered in your grade 10 class.
