LoL, I feel your pain, I have mine set up on a microsoft sidewinder throttle. throttle on fires arrows throttle off to stop. unfortunately there have been a few times ive forgotten to turn the throttle off, when selecting my next target....thankfully it hasnt happend on a big target like in Ntov or something........Yet

couple things to check, they messed with the display tab gamma settings, I had to turn mine up to see, everything was too dark.
  but if you mean like opaque grey, then you need to go check the website that your video card manufacturer is on, for updated video card drivers.

   Reading the patch message says DX9 required now, link should take you to microsofts download place.
   Also looks like they did some tweaking of fabled mobs, dont exactly know what this means but almost sounds nerfed.
   One  things for sure, and I saw this coming from a mile away, they are adding recommended lvl for most fabled items. ouch!

LoL, ya this commercial airs in the Seattle area. It was a topic of conversation at my familys last weekend, could'nt decide if it was funny, or annoying, I think its both. Ingenious marketing campain though. Everytime it comes on T.V. and im playing EQ, I have to turn my head to watch it.

Often times removing and reinstalling wont work, due to the settings that are saved in the registry. It is possible the registry became corrupt.
  At DOS prompt, type "regedit" . Navigate to HK Local machine, software, and delete the Sony online folders. then reinstall EQ.
