As Sony informed me a few thousand times via email, EQ has gone free to play. I logged on tonight for the first time in 7 or 8 years after downloading the client.

Anyone interested in downloading the game and gathering perhaps one last time just to catch up? I honestly don't remember how to play EQ, but I can still run in circles pretty well!

This is my contribution to Ryver's request of strange places in EQ. This is the necro that lives in the very back cave under the frozen river in Everfrost. I have no idea what he's for, and usually under these circumstances I would have killed the mob in question. But he conned red so I invis'd like a pansy and took the shot, then left.

Thanks in great part to Ryverwind, I was feeling exploratious tonight, so I decided I would go to the firepots since I'd never been there before.

Having almost no experience with Timorious Deep, I saw 2 little islands near the firepots on the map, but didn't think much of them. As I was swimming across, I decided to run across one of the islands to cut a few seconds off my swim. While doing this, I discovered what lives on that island, and the one next to it. The rest is history...

Thanks very much to Vivace, who came all the way from PoV to kite the wee beasties off of me, and saved me a very long CR.
