ok for those of you in the states today is the day our federal budget gets handed down.  Generally very boring and not at all deserving of the funny section right?

Tonight on national television the federal tresurer told people  "if you can have them, and not everyone can, but if you can have them you should have one for the mother one for the father and one for your country"and then followed up by tilling people to"go do their duty for their country tonight"  

I kid you not...Oh and they are paying 3k a head for each one you pop out....ivf here I come lets pop out 10 and put a downpayment on a house...oh wait they cost more than 3k in their first year...well damn guess they didn't think of that lol

Lei, she's talking about the Baby Bonus, the government will pay $3,000 to each new mother from 1 july 2004.

I have to say Im stunned and shocked, usually I dont qualify for anything released in the budget, this one I actually get WOOT.
Come on October, X can look after the newborn and I'm taking a cruise. :p

That 3k should pay for some nice sound proofing for a room for Xtens :)
