Trains in EverQuest are an inevitable occurrence. Yet despite the frequency of trains, little effort has been expended towards the scientific goal of rating these oft-maligned forces occurring in Norrath, on Luclin, or in the Planes.

NOTE - For the purposes of assigning a TRI score, the train must be spontaneous (UNPLANNED) during the course of normal play. Any idiot can maliciously cause a train. It is requires the wondrous alignment of lag, carelessness, and sheer dumb luck to coalesces into a living, breathing example of Chaos Theory at it's finest. Spontaneity is the goal, and is thus defeated by premeditation or intentional effort to increase the TRI score once you realize an innocent little pull has mutated into the most feared of all events ... a train.
You may not assign a TRI Score for your own trains (trains caused while you were pulling). Additionally, after much thought, TRI scores will only take in to account trains that are warned for.

A train must contain at least five mobs.

The following zones are not eligible for TRI scores due to the relative EASE of obtaining a high score: Crushbone, Black Burrow, Mistmoore, Karnor's Castle, Maiden's Eye.

PULLING
Group does not know you are pulling. 10 pts
Group does not know you are the puller. 15 pts
Did the pull occur while group members were AFK? 5 pts ( 10 additional pts for Enchanter or Cleric) per AFK member

WARNINGS
Was the warning shouted to the zone before the train hit? 5 pts
Was a warning shouted to the zone AFTER the train hit? 10 pts
Was a warning shouted on the OTHER side zone? 15 points
Was the warning shouted clear and descriptive? 5 pts
Was the warning shouted unclear and/or vague? 10 pts
Was the warning shouted a few jumbled word? 15 pts
Was the warning shouted just a quotation mark ( " )? 20 pts

CONTENT
5-7 mobs 5 pts
8-10 mobs 10 pts
10-15 mobs 15 pts
16 mobs 20 pts
Were any of the mobs summoning mobs? 10 pts
Did any of the mobs HT? 10 pts
Did any of the mobs DT? 15 pts
Did the train contain any "named" mobs? 10 pts
Did the train contain at least 50% of all mob types in that zone? 15 pts

IMPACT
Did any Monks/SKs/Necros FD or Clerics DA? 5 pts
No confirmed deaths. -50 pts
Confirmed deaths. 5 pts per death
Were any deaths from classes that have Feign Death (MNK, SK, NEC)? 20 pts (only assign these points if the player was confirmed to be AT the keyboard)
Was the train congratulated in a zone wide channel by at LEAST 5 people not in the pulling group? 10 pts
How long did people complain about THAT particular train?
< 2 min 5 pts
>2 min but <5 min 10 pts
>5 min 15 pts
Did someone get a verifiable screen shot 10 pts

Add up your score and divide the total by 280 (a nominal perfect score) to obtain a raw score. Compare the raw score to the chart below for the TRI.
