Gates of Discord.....should we start laughing now?

Aside from the intials, the potential for irony is killing me. I missed the launch of LDoN while I was in the midst of my MCI induced break from EQ so I can't speak with personal experience on that one occasion.

BUT, I can speak with experience on the launch of the 4 expansions before it and the initial launch of another SoE product, SWG. As a result of that experience I will NOT be pre-ordering any expansions from SoE. In fact, I will not be buying the expansion for at least a week, if not a month after its release.

Having seen at least one person from our guild alone, including myself, get bumped down to level 50 for up to THREE friggin days after the launch of at least 2 of their previous expansions. I am not willing to give them a chance to do it to me again.

The irony I see coming, is another beta released before its ready, the resultant patches everyday for the first week while they debug it on our dime, and the phone calls and emails that result from it.

Gates of discord indeed, foreshadowing if ever I've seen it.

Depsite those facts.. i think G.O.D is very much worth it though.. it has focus effect that plane of time could not dream of even comparing to.. and advancment if far greater then the pop abilitys.
